Thoughts

The school for dangerous girls was a good read, while nothing new (bad girl gets sent away, evil teachers etc..) it was charming in its own right. I certainly could not put it down! Angela is considered a 'bad girl' and sent to Hidden oaks where hopefully she can learn to be a 'good girl' and change her ways, however not everything is a peachy as

Hidden Oaks wants parents and society to believe. Life at Hidden Oaks is harsh, there are many restrictions and many punishments to be dealt out. Prision is easier. After the first month if you have not been taken away, you get to go to the main building as either a gold thread or purple thread girl, you want to be gold thread. Gold thread gets more privalages and an education, purple thread well... lets just say its survival of the fittest and you better keep one eye open.

The storyline was good and was for the most part clean, a bit of swearing but nothing too bad. The girls themselves were interesting, I enjoyed learning about thier pasts and how they came to be in Hidden Oaks. There is Juin a feisty french girl who is essentially leader of the pack, Riley a queen bitch and a little unhinged, Carmen a sweet girl who really did not deserve to be at Hidden Oaks and a bevvy of other girls. Each had thier own personalities, flaws and merits that i really did not dislike any of them.

The teachers however, most of them were just cruel, throwing girls into freezer boxes and solitary for hours on end. It was really easy to feel no pity for them. Action is not a big part of the book but it does not need it. With the mystery of the school, no love-triangles and plenty of 'dangerous' girls, it is a book sure to please many.

My only complaint? I really would have liked to see what happned to Juin at the end.
