Emerging through the hedge as if thier lives depended on it, D_Light, Lyra and Djoser nearly ended up in a heap as they skidded to a stop behind Lily.

Thoughts
though the name D_Light looks a bit off-putting you get used to it and all the oddball names in this book, it actually is really good and although there is a good number of sexual innuendos, swearing and other (IMO repugnant) things. It does not destroy the book and written well.
