Gauntlgrym. The place of Bruenors death, of pwent and supposedly jarlaxle and athrogrates deaths as well. A place of heartache for Drizzt, and now he must go back. Along with Artemis and Dahlia he they must throw Charon’s Claw into the primordial pit and destroy it, and thus destroying Artemis. It wont be easy however, Herzgo Alegni is still around and bent on reclaiming Dahlia and getting revenge on Artemis, and there are new players in the game, a host of Drow who seek the mighty forges of Gauntlgrym. 

 Charon’s Claw started off slow for me, it took me a while to really get into it, but once I did it became very, very interesting. There is always action and intrigue and subplots and that is what I like most about these books, you always get a look at the situation from others’ eyes. 

There are some nice twists and a little hint of maybe someone important coming back, which I hope he does! Always expertly written, Salvatores books are sure to keep you hooked from the get-go.
