Question: What is a deal breaker for you in a book? Do you abhor love triangles? Or can't deal with bad editing?

Good question! I can't stand love triangles, it seems they are everywhere these days! I also can't stand when all the sub characters are in love with the main character, it is so annoying and unrealistic to have EVERYONE pine for the main character. It's even worse when she/he is bratty or arrogant. Also i do not like long descriptions of rock or mountain faces, you do not need a page and a half to describe how perfectly the sun glints off the snow-capped hills.

Bad editing is definitely a deal breaker. I've run across books that everyone is raving about and yet I can't get past the first chapter because the editing is so bad. Also, I'm sick of virgins. If I have to read about another virgin (that's not young adult) I'm gonna scream. Ditto in the happy endings that wrap up all neat. A little reality goes a long way with me.

Haha, I'll be sure to never recommend a book to you with rock or mountain faces overly described. Too funny ~ and yet I so agree! :)

Love-triangles are WAY too overdone, I agree...it's getting annoying. I also think it's unrealistic when EVERYONE is pining for the main character. Especially when she keeps insisting she's plain o.O Great answer, new follower via GFC! Here's my FFF

Yeah, love triangles make it easy for conflict, but give me a good old straight-line of a love story any day!

I agree, love triangles are in almost every YA book now. Frustrating because some of them are so cringe-worthy.

I so agree about all of the sub characters being head over heels for the main character.. as if that happens in real life.

I agree. I can't stand when a character is bratty or full of themselves. Ugh!

I really don't like page-long descriptions either. They make me bored and I usually will end up stop reading the book because of it.
