10 books you would love to see as movies/shows
Who wouldn't want a movie or show with dark elves, orcs, dwarves, and other such fantastical creatures? Salvatore creates a majestic and wonderful world and it has long been my favorite series ever, even more than 16 books in!
I could not put this book down and I think that is my deciding factor to why this would make a kick ass movie.
It is just a beautiful romance/action novel set in the Tang Dynasty and I loved every minute of reading it. I enjoy Chinese fiction very much and Jeannie Lin is one of my favorite authors of that genre.
The concept of the book that the world is always changing, shifting and moving is so great and the characters you really fall in love with. It has action, a touch of romance and lots of magic and suspense.
Ok, sure, there are TONS of vampire novels in the world. However, this one add another element.. another monster to the tale. It is also very well written and I loved the action/romance.
I would like to see this movie REMADE. The had made this into a movie a few years ago but it was not what it should have been. I want a movie of this to be the masterpiece that the book was, I want to cry and swoon with emotion like I did when reading it.
Wicked tiny, bitey poisonous fae? YES!!
These books are quite funny and have a slew of different gods and goddesses as well as monsters in them. A talking dog, a sword wielding druid and more!
Dystopian! I do enjoy these types of books and this one was very well done.
Again vampires but there is also an elf, a dhampir, and a really, really smart pooch! There is action, intrigue and it is overall a really good book.

The group is still searching for the seals and this time its Delilahs turn to tell the tale. I liked her voice mostly because when she transformed into her tabby cat form the perspective changes and it is more cat-like and sporatic. She also is going through some more changes, and its pretty cool.
We are introduced to new characters that are pretty well rounded, Delilah is still with Chase which is nice and she seems very loyal to him albeit her half fae heritage. This book is a nice second installment to the first Witchling and if I am correct the next book Darkling is about the vampire Menolly and that should be quite interesting!

I do not know what went wrong here. The first book in the trilogy Bridge of Birds was a masterpiece, The Story of the Stone just fell short. The adventures they have in this book just can not compare and the storyline is overly complicated, at least to me.
There are some new characters, Grief of Dawn and Moon Boy for example and they added a nice touch. I liked Moon Boy far better than Grief of Dawn but still she was good and the ending was sad and beautiful at the same time.
Master Li is still smart and witty, Tex Ox is still the same big ox-like man and the strength of the team. Nothing has really changed in this installment and I was left disappointed for the most part.

QUESTION - Bookshelf Tour: Give us a tour of your bookshelf
Actually this is a co-existence between my guy friend and I. I usually get new books from authors in paperbacks and ARCs, I usually always get books on my kindle. These are my not read books, i donate my read ones to a used bookstore. My friend has the whole Harry Dresden series on top and mine are on the third and second shelves as well as the fourth shelf. As you can see we are highly disorganized. The coolest thing about the room though is its got a black light so all my books glow when its on.

Charlie Madigan. Detective in the ITF, mother, and all around badass has died. How did she live? Well, she doesn’t really know. All she knows is somehow it has changed her.
Better Part of Darkness starts out with a young girl who has ingested a new substance called ash. Ash is the new drug from the otherworlders, the magical creatures that have decided to come out of the woodworks and reside in our (human) world. You have your goodly mages and sirens and the like. Then you have your slightly less good jinn, goblins and abbadon nobles. But with everything, nothing is ever just black and white.
While looking into the case of ash Charlies daughter Emma gets stolen and thus our adventure really picks up.
Not to say it wasn’t a good ride but about sixty to seventy percent through or so is when her daughter gets taken and that is when it gets very good. The beginning is good as well, the fights and plot twists are acceptable and the characters interesting although not very in-depth.
Charlie is your usual hard and nails type with a soft side (she cries very easily, if fact I got a little sick of it by halfway through) but she was still a nice personality to have around, she is witty with her quips and really cares for her daughter and would do anything, anything for her. I also like that she doesn’t just fall into the powers she has and she is apprehensive of them . Her partner, Hank the siren is a good strong male role and I did enjoy his presence even if we never actually get to see him use his powers.
The other characters such as her sister Bryn and the revenant Rex add a good touch. If there was one thing I would say brought the book down a bit was the lack of description. Not about the world or anything but about the characters, some of them really had no backgrounds, the bad guy especially. He is bad, that is it and no more. However this does not really deter from the enjoyment of the novel.

Hello everyone!
Please forgive my 6month hiatus. My friends decided to hijack my laptop and I have just gotten it back after so long. I know i have been silent but i do not plan on being silent for much longer. I have read a TON of books and I have a few reviews to post up. I will be back tomorrow hopefully with one of them and please bear with me wilst i get back into the swing of things.
