It is no secret that I adore organic and homemade bath/beauty items. TheWandMerchant on Etsy has just that. A lip/hand/skin balm that smells wonderful and works great. Don't let the name fool you, while he DOES sell wands, I am just reviewing his balm today. 

About the creator 

My full name is Tyler Chase Simpson, I am eighteen years old and currently live in Virginia. I was born and raised in a rural town in North Carolina called Asheboro, which I dearly miss. I have been a practicing eclectic neo-pagan for about four years now and I learn as much as I possibly can bout The Craft everyday. My hobbies are carving wands, experimenting with oils and other natural substances for beauty products, writing, and keeping up with my terribly mischievous ferrets and cat.
My dream is to own my own physical Occult store one day in the future.

I opened up the shop because I make so many wands that I don't want to sit around and collect dust, I want them to be put to use and give them to someone who will use them. Also I have a feeling I was born to provide people with that certain tool, I've always been drawn to the tool since i was a teeny tot. As for the Balms, well it's sort of a new thing I have gotten into. I have so much free time and such a calling to do these things that I decided just to try out a little online store to make some money out of it!

 Description

This unique product can be used as a lip balm, body balm, or to heal dry spots on the body. It has been scented with some essential oils and made from a blend of beeswax, olive oil, and coconut oil. It is 100% organic and has been blessed by yours truly. This product has a special enchantment on it- an enticing charm that clings to anybody who applies it to their body. This smooth balm will give you a spicy and seducing aura. It has been enchanted with the powerful magick of the Venus Fly Trap. This plant entices it's prey with it's beauty and sweet smelling nectar, and when the prey falls for the trick it becomes an easy meal for the plant. This balm has been gifted with that same ability; to draw those you want towards you until they fall into your seducing trap! Now, of course this product won't make others fall head over heels for you, but it will help you get the attention of others such as your crush.
This balm has no overpowering scent, it is light and very sweet. Also, very little goes a LONG way. Simply rubbing your finger lightly on the balm's surface leaves enough on your finger to moisturize your entire hands. It also quickly absorbs into the skin for 24 hour hydration. It is a travel size and lasts very long.

MY REVIEW

First of all I have to say, the packaging as just lovely! My package came with a few extras (tea lights, a bag of herbs, incense.) It was jut a nice little mix of essentials that I though was a nice thoughtful touch. 

Now onto the balm! The jar is a nice sturdy plastic jar that screws open. The jar is clearly labeled with the Carnivorous Beauty label and the scent of the product: Love Bites. The scent is wonderful, it is very spicy with an orange sweetness that reminds me of Yule time. The scent lingers on the skin for quite a few hours depending on hat you are doing and you DO NOT need a lot of the product to get the most out of it. After about 3 hours I still smelled the spice of it (cloves) but the orange sort of dissipated, not a total loss though it is still a wonderful scent. At 2.50 a jar you are getting a nice quality product for a good price.
