I love green tea, I love everything about green tea from the health benefits to the earthy taste and its history. This came packaged in the little tin (you see in the picture) in a baggie for extra freshnes and safe travels. Once you put it in the tin out of the bag you get roughly half the tin full of beautiful green powder.

 When the directions say to put a teaspoon in the cup THEN the boiling water.. do it! I did it the other way out of sheer lazyness and it did not work, there were clumps and it did not dissolve right. When you do it right though (after stirring it really, really well) you get his hot, delicious, pretty cup of green heaven.

 I have never had ceremonial grade Matcha before, I have always just had the bagged version and this was a treat! You first notice the aroma, its earthy and deep and then you notice the color, this bright algae green that is so lively and inviteing. The taste? exquisite. It is bitter but not harsh, not sweet but light and soft, slightly floral. It is the perfect cup of warm pick me up you need when you are sitting inside out of the cold reading a book. You can even use this in baking (matcha and chocolate are SO good together) sprinkle some over chocolate cupcakes or brownies or roll chocolate truffles/fudge in it and shake off the excess!
