The Two Moons of Sera
Author - Pavarti K. Tyler
Genre - YA/Fantasy
Pages - 76

From Back of Book

In A world where water and earth teem with life, Serafay is an anomaly. The result of genetic expierements on her mother's water-borne line Serafay will have to face the very people responsible to discover who she really is. But is she the only one?

This is a Serial Novel, meaning that its told in smaller volumes than a full 300+ page novel. I enjoy this type, it gives you just little nibbles of the whole story and makes you want to go back for more!

Serafay is a Sualwet, a being of the sea living with her mother, but Sera is not full Sualwet, she is half Erdlander, a being of the earth (think human) as well. This makes her an outsider to both races so she must stay in exile, however one day while working on drying pages in a book a mysterious man snatchees some and runs off, who is he? Sera is determined to find out, little does she know just what is to come.

I loved this book, the character of Sera was very well fleshed out, she was easily relateable to and was stronge, brave and vulnerable at the same time. The character of Torkek (Tor) was just as good, he was wild but kind and funny. The adventure they take together and the ending of this volume leaves a good amount of suspense and longing for the next volume, coming in 2012.
